Science-based approach

Third-party verification is essential to ensure reliable, scientifically-sound information for both suppliers and buyers.

Through the internationally recognised, ISO-standardised Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology, partner research institutes we work with, currently being Tetis Institute SRL (University of Genoa spin-off), Alea Srl (Università di Modena e Reggio Emilia spin-off) and LCA Working Group (Università di Modena e Reggio Emilia spin-off), conduct a quantified evaluation and peer-review of the candidate solution’s impact, comparing its environmental performance to the Business as Usual product – the category standard – serving as a benchmark.

A wealth of benefits

Following the approved verification of your solution, you will receive a stamp to showcase your accomplishment.

This symbol indicates that the product underwent a thorough Life Cycle Assessment, confirming its increased environmental performance compared to the Business As Usual (BAU). Following your solution’s verification, Water Revolution Foundation will provide communication guidelines to set new standards on how to promote your innovative product and the assessment results. This also helps to avoid unintended greenwashing and potential scrutiny.
