We proudly introduce the second edition of the ‘Superyacht Sustainability Route’ in collaboration with Water Revolution Foundation for this year’s show. Focused on the superyacht industry, this new initiative will feature exhibitors on the METSTRADE 2023 show floor who have passed the Foundation’s Life Cycle Assessment with a verified entry in the Database of Sustainable Solutions. A spotlight on your solution(s)

The Superyacht Sustainability Route is anticipated to be of significant assistance to purchasers who attend METSTRADE 2023. Buyers are highly dependent on reliable third-party confirmation of environmental credentials to achieve the increasingly ambitious environmental objectives of their companies and the boats and superyachts that they build, refit and care for.

To be part of the route, you must exhibit at the SuperYacht Pavilion and should have a sustainable solution that you would like to get verified.

About the verification process

A stringent third-party Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) will be applied in order to verify products. Apart from the verification itself, the assessment report is of great value to know where your solution stands and how it can be further improved.

This is a comparative LCA analysis that follows the ISO governing LCA methodology (ISO 14040-44) for assessing potential environmental impacts associated with a product or a service. It is the most widely recognised methodology for such assessments because of its holistic approach, taking the entire life cycle of a product or service into consideration, including raw material extraction, processing, manufacturing, distribution, use, repair and maintenance, and disposal or recycling.
