We’re returning to Metstrade and The Superyacht Forum this November, continuing our partnership with Metstrade and our shared commitment to supporting positive environmental progress across the superyacht industry.
Metstrade holds a special place in the history of Water Revolution Foundation. It was here, in 2018, that the Foundation was founded and we’re pleased to return once again to the event where so many of the conversations shaping our industry take place.
This year, our programme will focus on practical tools, better environmental data, verified solutions and the next steps towards regenerative yachting.
Come and meet us
You’ll find Water Revolution Foundation at the Superyacht Stage at Metstrade. Throughout the show, the team will be available to discuss our work across the Roadmap 2050, the Hub of Verified Solutions, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Ocean Assist and our wider research and programmes. If you’d like to arrange a meeting with the team, please email us at info@waterrevolutionfoundation.org.

Power of Yacht Interiors
SIH Breakout Session | 11:45–13:00 | Room E107-108
The yacht interiors supply chain is increasingly recognising the importance of environmental considerations in project decisions. Turning that ambition into practical action, however, requires better collaboration and access to reliable information. Building on the Smart Interiors Horizon (SIH) Industry Workshop and the development of the SIH Material Library, this session will explore how earlier collaboration and shared material intelligence can support better-informed decisions.
Representatives from across the interiors value chain, including owners’ representatives, designers, shipyards, interior contractors and suppliers, will look at where information and expectations currently fail to connect, and what each stakeholder needs from the others. The session will also introduce the updated SIH Material Library as a common starting point for the supply chain, complementing Water Revolution Foundation’s work on material environmental performance and LCA.

Making Environmental Performance Standard Practice
WRF Breakout Session | 11:45–13:00 | Room E107-108
The superyacht industry has made important progress in developing credible approaches to measuring environmental performance. The next challenge is turning that progress into widespread industry adoption. Building on the YETI Joint Industry Project and its contribution to ISO standardisation, this session will examine what is needed to bring emerging methodologies, standards and data practices into everyday industry use.
Industry leaders, technical experts, researchers and standards developers will explore practical barriers, including inconsistent measurement and reporting, data governance, commercial confidentiality and the integration of emerging ISO standards. The discussion will focus on how greater alignment, standardisation and collaboration can help move the industry towards consistent and credible environmental performance measurement.

No Data, No Decarbonisation: Why Supplier LCA Data Is the Bottleneck
LCA Seminar | 11:00–12:15 | Metstrade Stage
The industry wants to reduce its environmental footprint. Designers and builders want to set targets and specify lower-impact materials, while owners increasingly want evidence behind environmental claims. But one of the biggest barriers remains the availability of reliable environmental data. Life Cycle Assessment provides a way to understand and compare the environmental impacts of materials and products, but it depends on the quality and availability of underlying data. Many suppliers are still not equipped to provide the information required.
This seminar will introduce the role of LCA in the decarbonisation process and explore what needs to change to make environmental data more accessible across the supply chain. The message is increasingly clear: environmental data will play a growing role in specification and procurement, and suppliers that can provide credible data will be better positioned to meet the changing needs of the industry.
Refit Roundtable
13:00–14:30 | Third Floor – Entrance D
The Refit Roundtable will provide an introductory and exploratory discussion around environmental performance in yacht refit, including the potential for a “sustainable package” or “longevity package” approach. The session will also explore how Water Revolution Foundation’s courses and resources can be integrated into the wider refit ecosystem, helping support practical knowledge and action across the sector.
Hub Cocktail Hour
15:00–17:00 | Third Floor – Entrance D
The Hub Cocktail Hour will bring together Water Revolution Foundation partners, Verified Solutions and industry decision-makers for an afternoon of informal networking and discovery. Following last year’s matchmaking event, this new format gives Verified Solutions more flexibility to connect directly with key decision-makers, including shipyards, fleet managers and design studios.
Guests will have the opportunity to meet the companies behind solutions that have undergone independent environmental assessment. The Hub provides multiple entry points that build towards full Life Cycle Assessment verification, making it easier to identify solutions that have been assessed for their environmental performance. For procurement and project teams, it offers a practical way to discover relevant solutions across different stages of the yacht lifecycle and connect directly with the companies developing them.

The NXT (re)generation: what responsibility really means for a regenerative superyachting industry
Ocean Assist Session | 13:15–14:30 | Superyacht Stage
The superyacht industry has been around for 500 years, but the question now is how it can thrive for the next 500.
As the ocean changes, responsibility can no longer stop at reducing environmental impact. The next generation of superyachting will need both continued action to reduce impact and a greater commitment to regenerating the natural systems on which the industry depends.
This panel brings established leaders and the next generation together to explore what that responsibility looks like in practice and how today’s industry can pass on the knowledge, resources and healthy oceans needed to carry it forward.
Ocean Assist provides one practical route to action, enabling companies and individuals to support independently verified ocean conservation and restoration projects alongside efforts to reduce impact across the yacht lifecycle. Mitigation and regeneration must go hand in hand, if the industry is to thrive for the next 500 years.
We hope to see you at Metstrade 2026.
