Superyachts are one-of-a-kind products with unique functions, making it very challenging to identify patterns in their operations. Some might even say it’s impossible… but with YETI, we’ve found a way.
In the second episode of the YETI Webinar Series, we will delve into the logic behind the Yacht Environmental Transparency Index (YETI), a revolutionary methodology designed to assess and improve the environmental performance of yachts.
YETI Webinar Series
We created this 6-episode series to share the background, scientific approach, and real-world application of the YETI method. Episode 1 laid the groundwork by introducing the inception, goals, and collaborative journey thus far.
Episode 2
The upcoming session, taking place via Zoom on Tuesday, 14 May, 2024, 15:00 – 15:45 CET, will explore the core methodology of YETI, provide insights into the standardised operational profile used to ensure fair comparisons, unveil the significance of speed-power characteristics for quantifying energy demand, and highlight a pioneering way to determine hotel load power prediction.
Hear from our Technical Director Hanna Dąbrowska, our Marine Engineer Jaime Barros, and leading industry experts involved in the YETI joint industry project as they go beyond the basics, shedding light on the technical complexities of this pivotal industry approach.
Programme outline
4 more webinars will be offered following the second episode, with dates for the follow-up sessions TBD:
3. YETI’s Scientific Approach: Energy Sources, LCA, & Environmental Parameters
4. Interpreting Your YETI Score: Data Input & Outcomes
5. YETI in Action: Assess & Upgrade the Existing Fleet
6. Optimising with YETI: Improving New Build Projects with Environmental Insights
How much does it cost?
Each session is priced at €25, with proceeds directed towards ongoing YETI project developments (e.g. software creation). Foundation partners may attend free of cost.
To pre-register for the remaining 5 sessions all at once and receive a 25% discount on the total cost, please send us an email at info@waterrevolutionfoundation.org.
