The European Commission (EC) is scaling back sustainability reporting rules with two new proposal: Omnibus Simplification Package I and II, focusing on sustainability regulations. These proposal by the EC aims at streamlining and simplifying sustainability reporting regulations for businesses in the European Union.

Internal combustion engines, mostly powered by fossil fuels, are still the primary energy source for many industries, including boating and yachting. But as our society evolves and the scientific community reliably measures the impact of our reliance—its significant pollution and greenhouse gas emissions—our industry is at the forefront of responding to the urgent need for new technology and policy changes.
