We’re excited to announce the addition of new verified products to our Hub of Verified Solutions. Air Vortex by Attested Rigs, Fendaskin by Defenda, Marine Inverter Air Conditioning, Direct Refrigerant Expansion by Termodinamica, and Permanent Washable Air Filters by Fundamental Marine Developments (FMD) have all received third-party verification for their innovative alternatives to traditional onboard systems.
Our rigorous verification process includes a comprehensive assessment of each solution’s environmental and human health impact through a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) conducted by independent research institutes. Comparing their environmental performance to the Business As Usual product – the category standard – these solutions have been proven to be an improved version from the benchmark.
Air Vortex
The Air Vortex® Process by Attested Rigs utilises conditioned turbulent airflow at the pipe system inlet and a vacuum collector at the outlet, restoring, preserving, and optimising pipe lifecycles. Cleaned and lined pipes create a non-corrosive barrier, reducing friction and energy loss. In comparison with the Business As Usual pipe substitution, there is a reduction across all environmental impact indicators up to 95.4%.
Fendaskin
Defenda’s new and improved Fendaskin has been found to have a significant reduction of impact across all categories when compared to the Business As Usual. Made from Bioprene, an eco-friendly Neoprene alternative free from petro-chemicals and mined minerals in the production process, Fendaskin offers full reversibility for extended lifespan, exceptional fade resistance, and resistance to water absorption and stretching.
Marine Inverter Air Conditioning, Direct Refrigerant Expansion
This innovative solution joins our Hub for its direct expansion system, dynamically adjusting cooling capacity and humidity based on the individual requests of the cabins. Termodinamica’s smart software controls ensure on-demand capacity management with minimal energy wastage, resulting in up to 65% reduction across all impact categories compared to standard products.
Permanent Washable Air Filters
Permanent Washable Air Filters by FMD provide a more efficient, eco-conscious alternative to disposable counterparts, with high-quality filtration leading to reduced landfill waste, onboard storage demands, and carbon footprint. Their inclusion in our Hub reflects their suitability for more environmentally responsible practices.
